A message from the President

Lina M. Demedeiros, Principal of LMD Insurance & Wealth Management In Etobicoke, Ontario, is a Financial Advisor, specializing in the Group and Individual Benefits market.

Since 1994, Lina represents some of the largest insurance companies in Canada delivering innovative concepts to meet the individual business owners needs from risk management to helping people manage their money.

Prior to establishing her career in benefits, she was a former Commercial Lines & Personal Lines underwriter as well as Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario.

With over 27 years of experience in the insurance industry, Lina delivers to the corporate transportation companies her unique specialization that meets the many compliance issues faced by the industry making her an advocate for trucking.

She has helped many transportation companies deliver savings, value and increase their profitability by focusing on their own individual needs and exercising the utmost due diligence to avoid any financial hardships. Her unique management style has strengthen companies and relationships with their most valuable assets; their human resources.

As a former Territory Manager with ITT Hartford providing benefits to small to medium size business owners and training new agents in the field. I found that many clients purchased disability coverage with no knowledge as to how the benefits would pay until they suffered a claim. At that time we found they sought legal council as a result of what they truly believed was a misrepresentation, by the company or agent.

LMD Insurance and Wealth Management Inc. formerly LMD Financial was founded based on my own disability, my life savings and my investments destroyed as a result of this disability. As a territory manager in the field with a team of agents, I found that the average professional had quality coverage and the small to medium size business owner bought only what they could afford or had no coverage. It was my mission to go out and educate the public and educate my customers who today are my best silent sales men in the field today.

With over 25 years in the Insurance industry and 12 with a my own practice our specialization has been well received by our clients and our peers.
